Thank you both so very much, really appreciate your feedback. Have had negative experiences in the past but this time very pleased - surgery scheduled in 2 weeks!

I think it was about three weeks from the time the mass was found on a CT scan and my surgery.  I thought that was pretty speedy, considering that I started with my internist, then had to get appointment with gynocological oncologist (very important, by the way -- don't let anyone else do this type of surgery, whether malignancy is suspected or not), then an appointment for the surgery itself.

The delay let me get my head into having surgery.  Fortunately, I was able to keep calm and not think the worst.  I decided I would only worry  when I knew what to worry about.

Good luck and God bless ...

If real trouble is suspected, sometimes, one gets put on the "fast track".
In my case , growths were found on a Tuesday afternoon, and, I had a hysterectomy Thursday morning at 6:00 a.m.
I was lucky but I was also quite proactive when it comes to the health of myself and my family.
I really can't say what the average wait is.  Again, I think, and hope, it depends on the urgency of the situation.
Why do you ask, and what is the time frame in Canada?
Peace.
