numb hands and feet

I have been done with chemo treatments for a year. Why do my feet and hands still go numb?

I will be six years out from diagnosis in April; finished chemo in October of 2005 and I am still dealing with pain and numbness in my hands, wrists and sometimes feet.  I don't know if it will ever go away, but, in my case, it is manageable  I doesn't keep me up at night.....it does, sometimes, make it painful to lift my grand-daughter and she is a tiny 21 pounds!
If that is my biggest problem after dealing with ovarian cancer  I have nothing to complain about; actually, I am a very lucky woman.
Peace.

It takes longer for neuropathy to go away for some people than others. For a small group, it never completely goes away. Have you talked to your doctor about it? I don't know of anything that will make it go away other than time, but perhaps your medical team might have suggestions.

Best Wishes,
Gail
