hello-my mom has the exact same symptom on the "balls" of her feet. Originally it led to a lot of falls but she enlisted the help of a pharmacologist and has gotten nearly complete relief from to drugs specific to neuropathy; LYRICA and DESIPRAMINE. May be worth a try for you to ask.
Hello Amy. My mom is having the same. She finished that chemo late Sept. and she feels like it is worse than before. Doctor said it can feel like that when it’s regressing. It takes max. two years to get it all back. It will go away. Whish you to feel better soon. Kay
Amy I have diabetic neuropathy that the chemo made a hundred times worse.. My last chemo was Aug and I can see the difference in it being better... I go for acupunture and thats made a huge difference..Time is your ally since the damage is not permanent...Being a type 1 diabetic since I was 14 years old mine is too damaged to completely go away but.... the damage from the chemo has lessened... Give it time and I am sure you will be better... I send you hugs hoping you feel better soon. Ronni
Hi Amy... I agree with Marie.. unfortunately your feet problems are probably a side affect of the chemo. It's not the best, but something we all seem to get. Have you got it in the hands too? My feet are affected, but not so much my hands, so I guess that's a blessing. I have some good natural hand cream which I rub into hands and feet in the mornings and at night before bed. Not sure if it will help, but maybe. Wishing you all the best....hugs..Helen...
You have peripheral neuropathy, and you are right it is not pleasant. Mine is more prickly than numb. It can get better up to a year following chemo. Have you had your blood electrolytes checked since you finished chemo? You might be low on potassium or calcium, ask your Doctor. Hope this helps, I am learning to co exist with my neuropathy.
