ovarian cancer?

I am 42 years old and have had 6 children.   After my 6th child was born I had alot of uterine bleeding so my OB-gyn did a partial hysterectomy.( vaginal).   I began having severe abd pain, cramping and bloating, diarrhea and gas.  I also have urinary symptoms and low back pain.  prior to this I had always been very healthy.
My doctor did an abd ultrasound and said I had an ovarian cyst and put me on BCP for 3 months.  He did an FSH and it was 19.1   He told me I was starting menopause,

My symptoms worsened and I was sent to a Gastroenderologist, he did an endoscopy and a colonoscopy which were negative.  He put me on Librax and zantac and told me he thought I may have irritable bowel.  These meds did not work.
6 months ago I had an abd and pelvic CT with and with out contrast which was negative.
I have since been back to my OB-gyn and he started me on  estridol 0.05 patch.
I continue to have abd pain, bloating, diarrhea, gas and low back pain.
I am an ER nurse and one of the doctors asked if anyone had done a CA 125 on me.
He says I have symptoms that could indicate ovarian  cancer.  Could this have been missed on the CT and pelvic ultrasound?  I have also had a transvaginal ultrasound..
Both my mother and grandmother had complete hysterectomies before age 35.
I am  not over weight I am 5' 4" and weigh 132 lbs.
Any suggestions on what to do. Like i said prior to age 40 and having my 6th baby I was in perfect health.

Hi. I have to frequently urinate also. Went to a specialist and nothing was wrong with my bladder. I here recently have started spotting a liitle to occassionally. I do not know why though. I was told it's not uncommon when it's that time of the month that is suppose to be when i would be having my period. I had a hysterectomy in 2004 for fibroids. I still have my ovaries but the dr took my cervix because i had severe dysplasia & he said he was going to take it when he took my uterus. I also get bloated & gassy & get stomach craps to sometimes. Do you have the spotting problem occassionally too ? Also my lower back aches too. I hope this helps you some with your question. if any one else has this problem that i do please let me know. Thanks

Has the TVUS been repeated?  If it has been 3 months and it has not been done, you should since the cysts showed up on ultra sound. You should as for a CA 125, but keep in mind it isn't 100% accurate for a diagnosis of OC, I think it is about 80-85 % accurate.  Your symptoms can be OC or a cyst, and the cysts might not show up on CT and the reverse I guess is true.  See your gyn, get your report, and if the cyst is still there go to a Gyn/Onc, they have 3 yrs. additional education in treating women's disorders, they don't deliver babies.  Good luck
