I.s it possible to get ovarian cancer when one has already had a complete vaginal hysterectomy?  I am also a breast cancer survivor of 12 years with chemotherapy treatments and 5 years of tamoxifen

Did you only have a total hysterectomy (removal of uterus and cervix), or did you also have an oophorectomy (removal of ovaries)?  The ovaries are not removed during a hysterectomy, so if that's all you had done, and you still have one or both ovaries, yes it's possible to develop ovarian cancer.

Ovarian cancer can develop in the lining of the cavity, so it is possible, but a complete hysterectomy sure decreases your chances.
