I even stopped eating so that i would not get bm!!.Yes my weight dropped as well, when they weighed me pre-op i was 52kgs and im 5ft 4ins(i still work in stones and thats under 8st)i try not to focus on the bathroom scales too much, just in case they go up!!lol.
Glad you do not have to wait long for your other v/u. Make sure you ask lots of questions and let us know what the results are.
Take care Dawn
Hi,ty so much for your advice! I can relate to your symptoms as well,I dread bm's, pain is so intense, seems to feel like constant pressure on bowels and rectum, bloating and feeling of being constipated, urge for bm,forget about sex~lol wont even attempt that! guess that is common with cyst,I thought I was losing my mind.lol.
I have ultrasound thur the 21st so I dont have to wait long anymore.I dread another surgical procedure but if I need it whatever it takes to start to feel good again ,I'm up for it!
last 10 months have been like this finally took switching to new dr in the fall to figure out part of the problem was chronic inflamed appendix lost so much weight (90lbs)within 6 months(5ft1,130lbs now),that should of been first clue for old dr something was not right..,so this time around I'm pushing even harder!
Can not comment on the blood thing as i had my womb removed when i was 25 but as far as everything else is concerned i can relate to. I took my hubby to gp with me and that got them to take me seriously and then again to see consultant.I had been on pain killers constantly for 11 mths and i know how it feels to think "it's all in my head". Usually any cyst over 4-5 cm they operate to remove. It may well be twisting, cysts can somtimes grow on stalks then get twisted, causing more pain. My pain used to hurt with a bm(real crampy)and somtimes even wind. The pain also seemed to drag, almost like my a period pain, which used to get worse as the day went on.Sitting was more uncomfortable,as was lying on my left side in bed. I had pain in my groin and hip,sex was a big no no and peeing was uncomfortable.
I think you should get another v/u now and take someone who will talk for you(we women have a way of not expressing how painful things really are)especailly with the blood thing as well. Let us know what happens. Sorry i could not be more help.Dawn
I've noticed few days before my period, and after I spot black/chocolate colored blood..I've never done this before,is it normal? yrs ago just before I would start I would spot light brown for few hrs, and figured it was normal, but I never seen blood this dark, sometimes looks like tar! any idea's to what it could be causing it or if its anything to worry about? I have another ultrasound/transvaginal in 2 weeks to check on cyst since pain and symptoms are getting worse, seems like awhile to wait?non stop stabbing/cramping pain, feels like insides are being twisted!I've heard that that could be endometriosis? dr seems to be blowing it off as bowel issues or ibs..what does it take for a dr to take women serious? seems male dr's blow us off! I'm in so much pain I cant stand to walk ,eat, or move, and my right leg is hurting, what the heck is going on? ty in advance for any advice!
Hi! thanks for your reply.I feel better knowing im not only one having these issues or its in my head! I really feel its more than IBS..dr keeps on pushing it off as that.I went to dr today and having another ultrasound next week.I hope my prob isnt extent as yours, but I bet knowing was a relief! are you free of pain now? Happy Holidays~Steph
Hi
All your symptoms are almost the same as mine(i too have slight bowel and bladder prolapse),i to had colonoscopy done as they thought it was my bowel.Due to family history i had abdominal scan but bowel was in the way of left ovary so they did transvaginal which showed a cyst(right side as well but without symptoms)on seeing my consultant he thought it was still a bowel issue. After a second t/v they suddenly decided to remove both ovaries!. The op took over 3 hours(was told an hour at the most before)as the both the ovaries were stuck to bowel, bladder ect. The left side was worse as the cyst was stuck to the bowel as well. 3 surgeons all admitted afterwards that all my pain was comming from that left ovary. When i think back now to how i almost believed(after all they are supposed to be the experts)that it was "just IBS"but i went with my gut instinct and i am soo glad i did.I know this was a little long winded(excuse the pun)but go with your gut instinct to please. Dawn
Ty for your reply.Would mri show up cancer mass better than catscan? within past 6 months I have had 6 catscans,3 ultrasounds, many pelvic and pap, and transvaginal ultrasound. From what I understand ovarian cancer is hard to find in the earliest stages?
This lower abdominal bloating is hard to take its so painful!
Ask for MRI, and for CA125 blood test ASAP.
