ovarian cyst

by lorigood, Oct 20, 2005 12:00AM
I went to the E.R for pain in my right side, heavy bleeding (had been spotting for 2 weeks).  They did blood work and my white cell count was 18000.  They then ordered a ct scan and stated I have ovarian cyst on both sides.  Is there a connection to the high white cell count and my cysts.  The doctor seemed very concerned about the white cell count and stated i must have some kind of infection and led me to believe they were not connected.
I also suffer from endometriosis and adhesions.  I have an appt w/cyno on fri for a hystorectomy consult.

If you had a cyst rupture, or simply have a hemorrhagic cyst, then it is possible that the fluids leaking into your abdomen have caused an infection.
