ovarian cyst

Hi everybody sorry to bother anyone about this but if youve gone through this please help.
went to get my MRI done and doc said that my cyst has grown to 3.4 cm since beginning of Sept. but that it is just a simple cyst and she recommends that I wait 6 months to get another ultrasound because sometimes it takes this amount of time to go away.  my question is, I have had this since March and evertime i get a test done it seems to GROW! is this normal at 47 yrs old?  my doc says it is because im premenopuse  and is it normal to take this long to go away?  i'm just confused at this point.

Hi. I too have what they call a corpus luteum cyst. I have been so worried also. I had a vaginal ultasound done and a ca125 test. That was back in December. its still there! Im 44 years old, might take longer to go away, if my periods would be everymonth it would probably be gone by now. I will go back to the doctor soon to recheck. but thought it took having a period to shrink it.?

You can always go for a second opinion with a Gyn/Onc, especially since it is getting larger.  What does the Transvaginal ultrasound show?  Simple cysts are usually watched, however yours has been watched since March and it is getting bigger, go for a second opinion.  good luck
