THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR ALL YOUR ADVICE MARTY AND GIA. I AM TRYING TO TAKE IT ONE DAY AT A TIME. I WILL HOPEFULLY FIND OUT MORE EITHER MONDAY OR TUESDAY TO DETERMINE WHAT THE CA125 SHOWS. I WILL KEEP EVERYONE POSTED. YOU ALL ARE GR8. BRE
it sounds like you are on the right track, it does take time to get all the correct tests done and read, yes it does sound like you are a good candidate for surgery, but getting all the facts first is a good thing, 95% of all cysts are benign, and with your age and childbearing history it is most likely that yours is benign. A large cyst does cause all the synptoms you are describing, and will disappear after it is removed. Good Luck and stay pro-active until you get this problem taken care of. Having an gyn/onocologist to either do the surgery or on stand by is an excellent idea. Marty
The only way to be certain regarding cancer is a biopsy, transvaginal ultrasound, (possibly ca-125) is an indicator but not always accurate..most cysts are benign, but the only way to find out is through more diagnostic testing...I would ask the doctor for more tests and if surgery needs to be done I would advise you to have a gyn/onc do the surgery as they are more equipped regarding any problems...I had pelvis pain, lower back pain and pressure and I had 2 large ovarian cysts on each ovary and thankfully it turned out to be benign. Take it one day at a time...be able to talk to your doctor and good luck and keep us poseted here...Gia :)
