Is this Endometriosis

Hi
I'm schedule for a laparoscopy in 5 days. I'd like to know what are the chances I have Endometriosis?

3 months back I went to my GYN for pelvic pain, since I've had trouble in the past with a cyst she immediately put me on BC pills and told me to come back in a month for a ultrasound. When I return for the US it showed I had a 4.1cm cyst on my right ovary. She upped the dosage on the BC pill and had me return 1 1/2 month later. When I went back the US showed it's 6.1cm, my GYN decide to do a CA125 test (came back normal)and laparoscopy.

I've read if your CA125 come back high it's a sign on Endometriosis. My symptoms
are painful periods, intercourse and I have a brown discharge always before, during and after my period. Is this normal? Also I've never had surgery so not sure what to expect. Any good tips? My doctor was good about explaining what could happen during the surgery depending on what they found but she hasn't told me what she thinks it is.

Hello....if you were my daughter I would insist you see a gyn/oncologist....not because you have cancer...but just in case that is who I would want doing the surgery.....until you have surgery and the "cyst" is sent to pathology you won't know what is in there.  A gyn/oncologist is a specialist in this area....YOU HAVE ONE CHANCE TO GET THIS RIGHT THE FIRST TIME......get a gyn/oncologist to do your surgery.  Please keep us posted, and, by the way....nearly 99% of cysts/tumors are benign.

I have severe Endo and had all of those symptoms plus more.........  I have had 3 laparoscopies and had no problems. I have since had 2 laparotomies and they were also fine.  I did have wound separation both times but not due to Endo.
Endo is very painful (in my case) and the surgeries were nothing compared to that pain!  Be sure to keep your bowels moving, use Milk of Magnesia.

You should take a look at it. The are a few lady talking about there surgerys of cyst removed and things they have go through  including me. Hope this is help fun. I myself am trying to lear about Endometriosis. A lady mentioned it to me for which I had never even heard the wordEndometriosis before.
