Hi,
just to let you know that you are not too old to have endometriosis , I had it in my forties and I know of someone in there early fiffties with it . It disappears after the menopause .
Good luck and best wishes Angie
Thanks to all of you. The gyn is doing the laparoscopy because I have Interstial Cystitis and I guess I.C. and endometriosis go hand and hand so they are checking for that and adhesions. I feel like I am to old at 46 to have endometriosis but who knows. There is just a lot of weird things going on. I know I could be perimenaposal but the pelvic/low back pain is unbearable. I'll know more after I see the gyn at Brigham and Women's. I'm going to the best hospital so I feel good about that.

Hi,
The women on this forum are extremely well informed. So the only real way to be sure is to have the surgery and then wait for pathology and have a specialist look at your CT.
Good luck and still try not to worry.
Peace...Kim
My cancer was found in the pathology lab under the microscope.
I had to have laproscopic surgery to find my cancer. The hospital that did the tvus and ct didn't see any cancer. When I took a disc of the ct to the oncologist they did see it. Another case of an oncologist being more able to see cancer signs.
Hi there,
It is true that these can be symptoms of ovarian cancer or cysts, but try not to worry. Many cysts turn out to be benign, but I will tell you the same thing as I told Heather. You need to go to a Gyn specialist and have a thorough check including a vaginal u/s and CA 125. I would think that a CT would pick up something sinister. I wonder why you are having laproscopic surgery before these tests have been done?
Good luck and keep us posted.
Peace...kim
I am scheduled to have laparoscopic surgery in a couple of weeks so they can look around inside and see what is going on. I see the surgeon in boston May 21st so I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
