Some Reassuring News About My Complex Mass

Just got home from seeing the gyn. oncologist.  After looking over the CT Scan and Ultrasounds, and doing an exam, she feels very comfortable just waiting another month and repeating the ultrasound. She said the "mass" is still fairly small, and there is no indication of anything solid - no nodules, etc. While it does have septations & blood flow in the septations, she said it still may well just be a complex functional cyst.Plus, I have no other symptoms at all.  She did draw blood for a CA-125, so we'll see what that says.  But, she told me to cancel my MRI appointment for tomorrow, as the follow-up ultrasound is better for what she's looking for. I repeat the ultrasound next month, and see her again then. She said that will determine if it's resolving on its own, or if we need to look at surgery.

I certainly feel alot better than I did before seeing her,  though I still don't have an absolute answer just yet.  But, so far so good.   Thank you all for being there .

Karen
