Well I have a 6 year old and he does not know he biological father. He knows my boyfriend as his father because he raised him since he was 4 month old. He has not change his last name he has his biological father's name. The problem is that his real Dad does not want to know about him and wish that I could take his last name away but I were not able to change it until I marry my boyfriend. what can I do and when shoudl I talk to him and tell him about his reall dad. Thanks

Around the time you get married would seem like a good time, then you can explain about the names aswell, its a shame his Bio Dad is not in his life , children always do better when families can get on okay and are in their lives .Make sure his step dad is involved with games and sports and fun..
