Too young to have a period?

My 10 yr. old daughter started her period right after her 10th birthday.
Anybody else got an early bloomer?

I got my period when I was 7 , I'm tryin to figure out if it can cause me to go through menopause early !

My daughter turned 13 in April and also started with her period late in the year age 10 so it is not unusual.  I do not know who was more horrified me or her (think it's because I still see her as my little girl ) :)  She coped really well with the transformation the doctors told me that the girls do start earlier because of all the hormones used in food.  Good luck I also felt it was to early as well but it's normal :)  Good Luck

if you got your periods early what to do is to reduce on the stress and the amount of fats you it then it will go for atleast a year if your still young that is

i am ten yrs old i am small for my class all my friends had their period except me my best friend wont talk to me about any thing when she got her period and now i feel like i am not her best friend what should i do

I got mine around that age too.  It you feel that it is too early, you can talk to your child's doctor.  I have heard about hormone therapy which can keep hormones regulated to keep the child from menstruating until a later age.  Might be worth checking into :)

I too got my period when I was 10 years old, I am now 41 years old.
It is early to start, but not unheard of especialy in this day n age of hormone disruptors in our foods.
When I was a kid the norm was: 15 to 17 years old. If you didn't get your period by the time you were 17, there was deffinately a problem.

Hi,  I can tell you that I was 10 years old when I got mine and my aunt was 9!
