active 5 yrs old overweight

Hi, my 5 yrs old boy is overweight for his age. He is around 26kg and height is around 120cm. But he is very very active. Always running around. Should i be worried? He used to be very thin when he was 2. Will he out grow his weight when he goes to primary school. My girl was overweight when she was 5 too. But she is 8 now and no longer overweight.

I have a daughter who is 6 years old and she is overweight as well. When she was 3 and 4 she was ok and since then she has gained a lot of weight. I have had her thyroid checked and she is ok. I am startinf her now on a program called Slimkids to help me out to help her. I just know I can't cut her out of a lot of foods that helps her grow... I need advice too!!! I hope that she out grows it. She is very tall for her age too, she is about 4'0 (maybe, will have to measure her) and she weighed 113 in August 2011 at the doctor.... ANYONE have advice... She is also very active!! She gets picked on and it makes me feel so awful as a mother on what to do???

Hi. His weight is around +/- 26 kg. But his height i'm not really sure. but compared to the kids his age at his kindergarten.......he is slightly taller but the different is not that obvious. Some kids his age are just as tall as he is. Pls advise.

Hmm.  I'm curious about his height/weight.  According to this link,  he's a big boy,  basically the size of the average fit 8 year old.  His measurements indicate that he's big,  but not overweight.  

In the link, you'll have to translate backwards to cm and kg,  but he's average for an 8 year old.  Which is tall for a 5 year old.
