Give me some advice, please...

My 7 yr old has really bad behavior sometimes. It is like his way or high way ... if something didn't go his way, he always acted out.(screaming, crying, jumping up and down, cursing). When we're going to do his homework,he has to make a drama for first 5'min. I've been reading books about kids behavior. We tried everything, put him in the chair and took a away his toys or reward him, praise him.It is not working well.It is really frustrating for us.Please ,give us any other advice could help our family. We love our son more than anything in the world.

my 7 year old is not behaving as well. Me and my husband stripped his room bedding, posters, pencils, paper, toy box etc. We gave him white sheets and a red blanket and each day he is good he gets something back small things first. when he gets 3 good days in a row he gets big ticket items back. radio, television and spider man bedding. when he is bad he gets nothing back. Good Luck and hang in there. ***hugs***

well, Actually when i pick him up from school at 3:15p.m. We got home around 3:30p.m. I let him play ,watch TV until 5:30p.m.He always has his choices.,But now I'm reading about many parents posts.Seems to me, I'm not the only one have a problem(poor parents some of them worst).I guess every kids have different personalities.I have an older son who is now 19 years old.I He never had an attitude problem like his younger brother.Sometimes i think we give him to much affection and love made him spoiled.I just hope that, when he gets older he may change.(become more mature).

Maybe give him some choices of the time for homework sometimes children get in form a day at school and parents try to get them doing homework straight away, how about you let him relax take a break, like you would do for your self, give him choices let him take some control . When else does he do this is it only over homework, what happens prior to the tantrum ask your self if it could have been avoided. Focus on his postive side and walk in his shoes .
