Yes Mirapex can cause drowsiness. I know because I took it for tardive dyskinesia which is clinically similar to Parkinsons'. You could speak to your doctor about adjusting the dosage or changing it if needed. The dosage depends on how helpful it is and what its helping on specifically so your doctor would have to adjust it based on that. The medications I take now that are helpful for Parkinson's as well are Zofran and rhodiola. Zofran in me is sedating but is although an experimental medication (although FDA approved for nausea from chemotherapy) has been helpful at controlling a wide variety of spasms. Rhodiola is not sedating but although in clinical study is a natural remedy so its still an unknown quantity so you could ask your doctor (or preferably neurologist if you are seeing one) about it. I find it helpful for dystonic spasms and dysphagia. The Zofran is helpful for myoclonic (full body) spasms. I don't know what specific kinds of motor movements you have from Parkinsons' and how these two medications would work for it but I know they are used in clinical studies (I learned about the rhodiola from the original researcher at a Parkinson's group)and have shown helpful effects in other people.
