Can you help me understand something about Parkinson's disease

I am studying about Parkinson's disease at the moment. One of the symptoms related to this condition is diminished movement, so why one of the treatment for this condition is use of drug that blocks acetylcholine to be released from striatal cholinergic neurons? As far as i know this neurotransmitter is exhibitatory and that condition has diminished movement symptom, so it does not makr sense to me? Also what the dopamine role in this condition?

Laymen's uneducated point of view. Just speculating, but the message from the brain to body is unable to convey the proper message therefore, it needs to be interrupted. I want to eliminate the tremor and the dystonia because it is inconvenient and dystonia hurts. In my body it seems like the interruption of the improper movements clears the way for the underlying correct use of movement once more. I don't understand it at all, but I experience on and off times all day everyday.
Be glad you are trying to figure it out from the outside!
