I have a friend, she has a toddler 15 months old,who drinks water all the time he may be drinks 2 liters or even more a day.whenever his bottle finish he wants more.I was worried about diabetes. What tests have to be done?
Have your friend take their child to see their pediatrican, an easy test is a urinalysis, if this is type 1 diabetes it will be obvious, also there is concern for diabetes insipidus, water diabetes they call it, again bloodwork is usually helpful but sometimes confused by them having taken in alot of fluids, have them start with their pediatrician and if they are worried they can refer the toddler
