normal tsh & low t4

my 13 yr old daughter has had weight problems througout her life eventhough her diet is probably healthier than most girls her age. She also suffers from tiredness and if she is not in bed by a certain time every night, she is exhausted within a week. she also has a lot of 'crying days'. she has just had a blood test and it has come back with a normal tsh and a low t4. what could this mean?

I would consider repeat testing, with free T4 not just total T4 and TSH and also thyroid antibodies, if her antibodies are positive this is more than likely autoimmune and if her free T4 is low then she may indeed need treatment
