facelift depression

I had facelift surgery 2 weeks ago and have spent the morning crying.  My face is still all blue from ear to ear around the sides and bottom of my face.  I look as though I need to shave. Is this normal. I am very numb and feel as the the bruising will never improve.  Will I ever be me again?

To add to my previous comment.  You have to realize how extensive this surgery is. I was in surgery for 6 hours.  That's quite a long stretch.  A lot of stuff went on there. I like you didn't realize how invasive this surgery is so you'll understand it's going to take time to heal. Give it about 6 more weeks to really see some improvement.

Don't be depressed.  I had a facelift last February.  Recovery takes time but it's worth the wait.  I had a total facelift and the numbness especially under my chin was extreme.
I still have a little numbness around the front of my ears but not bad. The bruising also takes time but will go away.  You will be you again with an improvement that you will love.  Hang in there:)
