I Need Prayer!

I have been dealing with something for a long time that I donot want to have. I would rather not say what it is, but when you pray just pray for the dude's situation and THE MAN UPSTAIRS will know what is going on and how to help me. Thanks for all of your prays. I know that the battle might be lost, but the war AIN'T OVER!

I'm assuming you are dealing with a sin issue that you don't want to have. Remember, there is nothing under the sun that God has not heard about or dealt with. Nothing surprises Him.
Sometimes we allow Satan to trip us up and create a stronghold in our lives. The more we feed it, the stronger it gets. Sometimes it's stronger than we can deal with ourselves and we need the help of a trusted pastor to pray over us as we repent of our sins. I encourage you to find a pastor you can trust and share your burden with him and ask for prayer. Just like counselors, they do not divulge any information you give to them. It would remain between you and your pastor.
The devil is not someone to mess with. Sometimes we forget how powerful he is. Yes, our God is more powerful and wants to break off these strongholds in our lives but we have to understand spiritual warfare and the weapons God has given us to use.

Read God's Word every day. The Word is our Sword in our spiritual armor. It convicts, encourages, comforts and strengthens us in our faith and resistance to sin. Look up the Armor of God and read it every day and practice putting it on. Ephesians 6: 10-18.
We cannot battle sin in our own strength. It's only by the power of God and using the tools he has given us.
Again, I encourage you to find a pastor and ask him to pray with you. They are used to this and trained in this. They are there to help. If you truly want deliverance, then I think that would be the best way for you to go. Yes, it takes humbleness but that's when we can receive miracles, when we can be truly humble and repentant.

In the word of God we have instruction relative to special prayer for the recovery of the sick. But the offering of such prayer is a most solemn act, and should not be entered upon without careful consideration. In many cases of prayer for the healing of the sick, that which is called faith is nothing less than presumption.

Many persons bring disease upon themselves by their self-indulgence. They have not lived in accordance with natural law or the principles of strict purity. Others have disregarded the laws of health in their habits of eating and drinking, dressing, or working. Often some form of vice is the cause of feebleness of mind or body. Should these persons gain the blessing of health, many of them would continue to pursue the same course of heedless transgression of God's natural and spiritual laws, reasoning that if God heals them in answer to prayer, they are at liberty to continue their unhealthful practices and to indulge perverted appetite without restraint. If God were to work a miracle in restoring these persons to health, He would be encouraging sin.

It is labor lost to teach people to look to God as a healer of their infirmities, unless they are taught also to lay aside unhealthful practices. In order to receive His blessing in answer to prayer, they must cease to do evil and learn to do well. Their surroundings must be sanitary, their habits of life correct. They must live in harmony with the law of God, both natural and spiritual.

We are undeserving of His mercy, but as we give ourselves to Him, He receives us. He will work for and through those who follow Him.

But only as we live in obedience to His word can we claim the fulfillment of His promises. The psalmist says, "If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me." Psalm 66:18. If we render to Him only a partial, halfhearted obedience, His promises will not be fulfilled to us. :)
