Hello!
Just joined the site and figured I'd ask the rest of the community on some advice or helpful tips. My partner has a son who's 5 and we're ready to start trying for a baby. This will be my first official child (not counting a miscarriage from a few years ago).
Anyway, we have been reading all over about different home insemination methods...but there's one in particular I found on a LGBT parents forum that caught my attention (most because I wasn't interested in the more "classic" turkey baster method) : the cervical cap method.
For those who aren't familiar, the donor sperm is placed into a Softcup™ and put some pre-seed inside you 15 mins before insemination, then insert the Softcup™ over your cervix as directed on the box. You then keep the cervical cap in for about 12 hours before removal.
The average time for most healthy couples to conceiving through this method was 2 MONTHS!!! There are many couples (straight AND lesbian) that had been trying for years and then found success with this method. I was impressed, to say the least.
So I now have everything I need to make this baby happen.

But now my question:
I would like some helpful tips from couples that successfully conceived through home insemination methods.
Has anybody conceived through the method I explained?
What can I do to aid the process?
Anything would help!
Baby dust to all! :*
