I'm 35 and my husband is 30, we have been trying for a year to get pregnant and it still hasn't happened. R there any special positions that will help the process along?

Not too old at all. I'm 35 & just had my 1st baby. My husband & I didn't get pregnant right away. It took us 6 months & 1 miscarriage before getting pregnant with our son.
Get some ovulation sticks & track your ovulating cycle. I learned that I ovulated earlier than normal which was on day 9 of my cycle & not the typical day 14. Also, after sex, don't get up for about 15-20 min & prop a pillow under your hips to elevate your pelvis. This will help the swimmers reach their destination. :) It may not hurt to also have a blood test done to check your hormones. I did & found out that my hormones wouldn't support a pregnancy & as prescribed progesterone supplements.
I wish you all the best in your journey to motherhood!

Your not 2 old, i'm 39 and hubby is 39, i know it's hard but try not to think about it.I find the harder i tried and thought about it,it never happened after a m/c it took me about a yr.All it took was for me to stop thinking about it and if it happened it happened and a couple of mnth later i was pregnant. I know it is easier said then done but bedt of luck and it will happen.

I recommend using an ovulation kit and my doc says that it's important that your husband clean his pipes up 5 days b4 u ovulate so that u can get a fresh batch of sperm to facilitate fertilization. Also relax and don't stress during the process and as the person above said lay around for 15-20 mins to keep it in.i also elevated my hips.

I don't think it's so much about your age as it is about the health of your reproductive system. I'm only 23 & it took us almost a year to conceive number 2 due to pcos, my mum on the other is 40 & only has to think about being pregnant & it happens for her. She had her last at 38 after getting remarried & no issues. See your doc explain you're trying & get an over all health check (bloods ect)

Have you been tracking exactly when you ovulate?  I'd try doing that for 6 months. If you aren't pregnant by then, you may need to see a doctor.

Ur not too old, I got pregnant pretty quick and I was 35 at the time, now 36 and currently 25 wks.  Everyone says use and ovulation app and chart, but I think the problem could be as simple as ur body not producing enough quality cervical mucus to aid the sperm in getting to the egg.  In that case, just use a fertility lubricant such as Preseed which no one talks about to help the swimmers get to the egg.  I used it because I didn't want to go on for months on end and got pregnant pretty quickly after using it on my 3rd cycle of TTC.  Also, for ur husband, it wouldn't hurt if he started taking Fertilaid for men.  It's a sperm count and motility vitamin supplement.  This is the course I was going to take in conjunction with using the fertility lubricant, but didn't go that route because I got pregnant after using Preseed.  If I were u, I would try it as these products have positive reviews online and is a much much cheaper option than going to a fertility clinic.  It never hurts, goodluck!

Unfortunately there medical backing to position as aiding in conception. Try an ovulation tracker and check with your doctor. They can see if there is an issue that can be addressed.

My husband and 1 are both 36 and having our 2nd child. Our 1st is 2. We tried for 1 &1/2 yes the first time, and 1 yr this time.  I am 17 weeks now.  We were both checked for fertility issues. I have pcos which made it difficult to get pregnant.

Will it be your first baby? Have you seen your doctor to get yourself and your husband checked to see if there's fertility problems on either side? In my opinion 35 is absolutely not too old!!! Good luck.
