I agree with makaylinsmommy, alternate between moving about, having hot baths and try bouncing on your birthing ball if you have one, also a couple paracetamol. My Braxton hicks absolutely floor me, they are so painful x

Hey, i am 40 wks and 3could days pregnant and i have been getting braxton hicks for this whole last month, they really hurt and my ob told me to alternate between walking around the house for about 10-15 mins and then take a bath with the water as hot as you can stand it! The walking and change in movement will allow you to determine whether they are contractions or just braxton hicks because it will help them settle, and the hot bath will relieve the muscles from being so tight, and they should subside. You should repeat the walking and baths until they subside some or go away completely DESTROYED if they don't, and get worse call your ob cus those are most likely labor pains! The walking and baths really helped me, i hope they give you some relief! Good luck!!  :)

Its probably not bh contractions if you're that far along. You're probably in early labor.
