36+2 wks baby still breech.. Castor oil

So if my daughter doesn't turn by thursday my doctor is scheduling a c section for aug 5th... My father said I should take castor oil that will make her turn and go into labor.... anyone used castor oil? Do I have to be over due and dilated for it to work?

I told my doctor I don't want to go the whole wks... Lol she said at 39 wks they can induce but since she breech it might be a c.section

Do NOT use castor oil. It doesn't cause a baby to turn and you're 36 weeks - there's no business to be using any of that anyways. It can cause severe vomiting, diarrhea, and abdominal cramping which can lead to dehydration causing harm to the child.

I strongly advise against not using castor oil. It won't make the baby turn. All it will do is make you sick and possibly dehydrated. It's dangerous for the baby as well as it can cause them to have their first bowel movement while still in utero, and this is very dangerous for your baby.

I would not advise the caster oil! It will not cause the baby to turn! It is just going to cause you to go into labor (if it works) and if she still isnt turned you are still going to have a c-section! Google activities to turn babies...try them...they usually work! Just keep in mind doctor is only doing hat is best for you and your baby's health! Even if you don't want a c-section sometimes it out of your control an comes down to a safe delivery for baby and you!

As for answering isntsure questions: once 37 weeks your baby is getting so big that it is harder for them to turn! With each day the baby put on a half ounce! They ultimately have a massive growth spurt in a very short time. The farther along you get with them not in position it can cause problems not only for you but for baby too!

Just wait it out my baby was breech sideways (transverse) from 32 weeks and at my appointment at 37wks 3days I had a u/s and she was still transverse, I went into labor on my own (didn't try anything to induce) 2 days later and she had turned and ready to get out labor was probably less than 3 hours from when I woke up with contractions to when I had her.

How come theyre trying to schedule you a c section so soon? Your daughter could and can still do a turn in there and get into the right position. You still have 3weeks till your full term. Is this standard? Im just asking cause im a first time mom so im curious.
