5 weeks pregnant, progesterone levels aren't doubling

Hi all, i'm 5 weeks pregnant.  I had a tubal reversal back in July and my husband and I are trying to conceive a little one.  We recently found out that I was not ovulating so the doc put me on 50mg of Clomid for cd 3-7.  It worked!! I got a positive on cd30 and went in for a beta hcg level.  It came back low at 15.2, he's had me repeat them every other day.  My other levels have been 2 days later 57.8, 1 day after that 83.9, 2 days after that only a 95.1.  Should I be concerned that this is an ectopic?  Has anyone ever started off with low beta hcg levels and continued on to have a healthy pregnancy?  I am supposed to repeat my beta tomorrow, but am so worried. I am not experiencing any cramping or spotting and very mild nausea.  I am also not having to pee as often as last week. Thank you for any answers and advice!

Hi Eirlis,

Thank you for your support and answer.  I just noticed that the title of my question is wrong, shows how scatter brained I am after todays results!  It's my beta levels that aren't doubling which you obviously noted due to your answer : )  He has me taking prometrium twice a day to control progesterone levels.  Beta levels doubled that first week, but as you can see our latest results Friday 83.9 and then on Monday only a 95.1 are not encouraging.  I repeat the beta tomorrow and should know more by Thursday.

While it is possible that your pregnancy is fine, it's also very possible that it's not. I've experienced 5 miscarriages including an ectopic. The latter had slow rising hcg levels from the beginning. If you don't start cramping or spotting within the next 1 - 2 weeks, insist on an ultrasound to determine where the pregnancy is located. If nothing is detected but your hcg is still rising, you'll probably be advised to take methotrexate in order to prevent your tube from rupturing.

Good luck; I hope things turn out okay for you!
