most of your symptoms sound like pregnancy related issues to me. they can also sound like withdrawl symptoms. (or maybe you still experience these symptoms but the influence of the drugs makes you not notice them) i would suggest opening up to your doctor about this. its important for all the reasons the ladies already mentioned. also, he or she might be able to help you find a good group or person to talk about things. sounds like you need someone to open up to. also, being pregnant isn't easy, hormones take over and you can turn into a hormonally charged wreck!! if you are already feeling a little down on yourself and even a little depressed this could be amplified as your hormones start to take over. it is very normal to feel this way and it is normal to get help and seek guidance. dont be afraid to be open. you obviously want help to make things better for you and the baby. so take the next step and tell your doctor.
you can do this!! : )

I completely agree. Having lived in a residential treatment center for a year, I know about and have experienced horrible symptoms of withdrawals and trying to overcome addiction.
But you do need to make a choice.
Continue to poison your body or clean up for the sake of your child.
Good luck.

Hello. As previously stated the stomach issues could be a normal sign of pregnancy. It's hard to stray from addiction, but it's possible. There are several people out there who are willing to help. I know how difficult this may seem, but it's important to seek help.

I urge you to stay away from taking any medication that has not been prescribed to you. Inform your doctor of your problems. You'll be better off in the long run. Also your breathing troubles, Hot Flashes, and constipation could be due to you denying your body of those drugs that have been present so long. Withdrawal.

Please seek help for the sake of you, and your child.
I wish you all the best of luck. Please keep us updated.

Suggie~ the hot flashes and other symptoms can be signs of withdrawal. You need to speak to your doctor about SLOWLY lowering your doseages until your able go get off them.

Narcotics usually don't have disfiguring effects on a baby HOWEVER it can cause low birth weight, and depressed breathing as well as addiction in a fetus.

You should be fine if you slowly lower your doseages. It may take a few months to fully get off the medications.  If your doctor knows your addicted then he/she will help you to safely get off the medications

I won't judge you. I think you need to get some help to try to stop taking these drug. The most crucial stage of pg is the first trimester. If you are planning to have a healthy baby you have to take care of your health. There are so many resources out there places and people that can help you. I agree with dkl if you act now the odds are on your side. If your baby is born sick and is tested the state will intervene. I don't want to scare you it's just a reality. Your baby needs you for survival. Please take care of yoursefl and get some help for your lil baby.......Best wishes and take care.

You can't  stop those kind of drugs cold turkey, pregnant or not. It's that simple. You NEED to talk to your doctor so they can slowly ween you off them or decide the best course of action for you. If you don't tell your doctor and the baby is born with withdrawls (which it will be if you continue this rate of use, provided the baby lives through it) it will be drug tested. Once those are found in it's system the baby will be taken away from you. If you are up front and honest things go a lot smoother and they actually help you vs. Not.

I am sorry to hear that you are in this situation. But the one thing you need to do is tell your doctor. If you don't want your family knowing, that is one thing. But your doctor *needs* to know so he can be aware of all possible effects on your baby. As for the pains you are experiencing, they could be common pregnancy pains, or they could be a result of using the pills your on. That is why you need to tell your doctor. I know how ashamed you must feel thus keeping you from telling your doctor. But for the well being of your baby, let alone yourself, your doctor needs to know. He can also help you make the right decisions about getting off the pills and also assist in getting some sort of treatment. I wish you all the best, I have battled drugs in my past as well. It's a hard road, but you can over come it, just like I did. I wish you all the best! :)

The pains in your sides and abdomen are relatively normal, they come with pregnancy, although everyone experiences their symptoms differently, I am going through the same pains, as well as the constipation, and the hot flashes, the breathing could be from the drugs, or if you try to breath in as if your sucking your stomach in, what does that feel like? i get nauseous when i do it and can only breath in so far due to the tightening in my stomach. im only 4 weeks and the same things happening to me, do the breathing and let me know how it goes! also, try to open up to people about it, sometimes it helps to talk to someone outside of the family/friends point of view, sometime you can find the best advice in the strangest and most unexpected of places. good luck and blessings to you! =]
