I had An epidural with my first and planning on getting it again this sat I'm getting induced again and with all the pain of the labor you don't feel it going in no complications but legg numbness right after the epidural got put in and started feeling my leggs about 2 hrs later no biggies I mean not like your walking out the hospital right away ... But every woman's body is different so I'd say go for it!!
I plan to have one my friends have all had epidurals with their pregnancies no one so far as had any complaints
I got an epidural with my first and it was great, didn't even feel it when it got put in. Had it a second time with my second and it was aweful, I felt all the pressure when it was put in and I have been suffering from really bad back aches, if I do too much then I can't really move, like if I lay down it takes me a while to get up and is with a lot of pain. I'm not sure if it was because of the epidural but I have a strong feeling it is. I am now pregnant with my third and last, and I don't want to have another epidural, I want to try to go all natural, I'm terrified either way, but hopefully I can do it without the drugs.
I had an epidural and everything went smoothly. I plan on having another one.
I have a crooked spine and am overweight (was 238lbs at delivery) and they missed the first time but got it in the second time. My right side only worked a bit, left side was totally limp. I felt pressure but no pain until she was crowning because I was in control of when to top it up and I wanted to feel something. I still have back pain at the site but I don't know if it's where they got it in or where they missed. It's only sometimes and usually a mild ache but I'm going to try natural this time. Not opposed to using the epidural if I need it but I still want to try.
I had an itrathical (spelling) with my first. Didn't like it. Puked constantly. Next I did an epidural halfway worked. Did an epidural again and was not able to move for 16 hours. They brought the anastialogist back, a neurologist in and then a ct/Mr I scan. They did find arthritis in my lower back. Though they are not sure if that in someway cause the numbness for so long. With this baby they told me I might not be able to do another. Me the doctor and the anastialogist will have to sit and talk about what will be safest for me and baby.
I had an epidural for both of my deliveries. It was a great thing for me. I was able to be peaceful during the birth and welcome my child less exhausted and more comfortable. I had no issues with the epidural and it wore off quickly. It left me with enough feeling to push but took the 'pain' away. Worth it for me! good luck
I feel like it want to go all natural again but I was so stressed and tired when it came to pushing that I just feel like for some reason I am scared I feel like I'm not going to be able to do it again naturally like I did with the first one it kind of sounds weird and stupid but I don't know
Why not try it medicine? Instead of an epidural? Talk with your doctor about it all and than go from there. If I were able to deliver natural no matter the pain I wouldn't want an epidural.
Im going.to.try to go.as.far.as.i can naturally but i am kinda ha ing.an open mind about the epidural
I got the epidurdal and I was so thankful for it lol, and I am getting induced sunday and will be getting it again.
I got the epidural and it didn't work. But it made me very very itchy
If you went once without the epidural and handled it okay I would suggest you try again to do it naturally because you know for sure that you can. I had a horrible experience with the epidural. While it was in, it was great and it was nice to be able to relax, but mine fell out and I had to wait 3 hours to get it replaced and that was misery. I literally begged my mom to take me out to the barn and shoot me. For three months after I dealt with horrible leg pain, constant Charlie horses in my thighs that I couldn't get rid of. That being said, I am going to have the epidural again because if this labor is anywhere near as long as my last one I will be in pain for a long time (last labor was 38 hours) and I want to be able to somewhat enjoy it. It's all about weighing the pros and the cons.
I loved mine!! Didn't feel a thing other than pressure. I napped and watched tv until it was time to push. A very enjoyable experience indeed. I would recommend it to anyone. Another plus is by the time I had her I wasn't drained from the long labor so she got all my attention right from the get go.
I had it with my daughter and it didn't work for me at all. I felt everything so this time i'm going natural.
I dont know what decision im going to take but I guess I have 6 more months to think about it
Ive had 3 . They first 2 were fine, no side effects.
With my 3rd one, after birth I was super ichy all over my body, and I was nauseous and was throwing up for 2 days.
I had it with my daughter I did not have any complications while ot after the epidural , she is now almost 3 and I'm 32 weeks pregnant planning on having another epidural this time too .
