Thanks.
Someone Please tell me something. My last period was in march 2012. Went to the doc a week after I found out my period didnt come. Test was positive . It is now April 18. I went to the doc two days ago because I started bleeding over te weekend and then passed tissue and small blood clot. Im supposed to be 6 weeks but dont think I am. So I went to the e.r. that monday after I started bleeding and there was nothing on the ultrasound, but a cyst on my right ovary. My hcg level was 248. This level is appropriate for someone who is 3 weeks prego and low for someone whi is supposed to be6 weeks prego. I am suppose to go to the doc to day to ck y hcg levels again. The e.r. doc said it was a possibility that I am miscarrying, but to come back. So i am going back today. Do you think its too early to see anything because I am too early? or should I see what the levels say today? Just really anxious!!!
I know your hcg level has to be in the thousands to see anything on the ultrasound...some do have slow hcg level rising in my case my first hcg level was 26 two days later 130 and two days after that 419 and then a week after that last one it went to 4515...i know hcg levels are suppose to double every 48-72 hours...good luck sweetie keep me posted
The level needs to reach 1000 not 2000 before they can see anything in a scan, so it shouldn't be too long before they can do one.
Actually you're right- the HCG levels are too low just yet. Perhaps you conceived a lot later than you thought, which would explain that. I think when your levels reach over 2000 is when you can see something but I'd have to doublecheck on that number.
I have had two vaginal ultrasounds, both times they couldnt see anything. I was told my levels were too low to be able to or the baby is not in proper placement.
Some women have slow-rising HCG and all is well. The best way to know for sure what's going on is to have a sonogram. You should be able to see the baby and a heartbeat by now via sonogram.
