Am I pregnant?

Question

Ok, so Im new to this and Im 19. I have taken several home pregnancy tests and blood tests and everythings come back negative. I haven't had a period in a while (have pcos and Im heavy to boot) but I think Im pregnant still. Something in my instincts is telling me I am...Im starting to show signs and would have concieved mid november of 2010. Can somebody relate?

I can give some of my basic information but my period cycle and ovulation dates I dont really know if I can 'cause I have always always had irregular periods...but I'm going to do the best I can...

Im going to see a doctor hopefully this week...have some insurance problems I need to take care of but even my mother agrees that there really is no way that this is caused by something else

I wouldn't get your hopes too high. You seem like you really want to be and that alone can cause everything you've described. Blood tests are rarely negative. If you're pregnant there HAS to be hCG in your blood for a viable pregnancy. Symptoms don't mean much as they can be caused by many different things, pregnancy only being one. If you feel you are that much, have a beta hCG done. Anything 5 and under is a negative for pregnancy and it's not possible (unless a lab error was done) for that to be wrong.

I do really feel strongly about it and following my instincts which have never let me down before im going to...and thank you. I've read on another forum on this site, that alot of other women have had the same situation or atleast a similar one. I did notice that when i was taking a shower this morning, the lower part of my belly was starting to harden...which I've never have my body react that way before and my mother told me that it had something to do with it. Also, over the last several days I've noticed a growing increase in the tenderness in my breasts so...My instincts are so screaming at me

well with my 2nd pregnancy i had a blood test show negative but still had all the symptoms so 2 days after the blood test i got a BFP on a pee stick and sure enough i was pregnant and now have a beautiful 4yr old to prove it. I say if you feel so strong about it ask for an ultrasound!!! Good luck!!!

Blood tests are accurate. If it's negative from a blood test, you are not pregnant. Urine tests aren't always accurate, but blood tests definitely are.

I've always had late periods or absenses from  for months at a time....so I know its not that...ive been pregnant about 3 times all with failed results...sadly...I have heard tho...that some women can be pregnant with negative blood tests and urine tests...going to doctor monday agian...

Arsmr PCOS and being overweight both can make your period late, off schedule or disappear so I would tend to think that it is the PCOS that is causing this. If a blood test is negative than you are absolutely NOT pregnant

i had breakthrough bledding and feel the same way as Valmarie and wondered if i could be pregnant the breakthrough bleeding started on 21.12.2010 and stopped 25.12 and i forgot to take my tablets as i was on the pill and am too afraid to go back on them just in case so now im off to dr to see what the go is and think i will have to see if i get my period what does everyone else think??

Pregnancy tests aren't always accurate but bloods definitely are. If you have done a blood test like you've said and it has come back negative than you are most likely not pregnant. 

Could it be possible that you are wanting a baby so badly that your body is reacting as though you are pregnant? I've heard that happening before - I believe it is called Phantom Pregnancy. Just a thought. =)

I dont know. From things I've heard that's not necessarily true. However, I just..ah...my gut instincts are practically screaming at me...like I have most if not all the symptoms and Its just really odd...even my husband started noticing my body changes...nothing like a period would bring...and the moodiness is almost unbarible...worse then a bad case of PMS...

Hi. I can't say I relate but if you've taken several tests including blood tests, you cannot be pregnant. You might want to make an appt with you PCP. It could be something else. You could also be experiences those symptoms because your period is about to come. Take care:-)
