Anterior Placenta?

I found out two weeks ago that I have anterior placenta, this is my first pregnancy. I've done research to learn more about it. However, having an anterior placenta can "mumble" movement I can feel it clearly and sometimes it hurts and when I feel movement on the left lower side when she moves I gasp, (it catches me off guard and is very uncomfortable) is this normal? Do women with a regular placenta feel the same when their child moves? This is all new too me. I honestly have no clue what to expect.

My placenta is anterior as well. At 28 weeks i sometimes can't feel her movements but I see my tummy moving. As far as the pain on left side, your baby probably just hit a nerve. It happens. :)

I'm a FTM and I'm 30 weeks, and when my son moves sometimes it catches me off gaurd. He will kick me really hard at times and others he's nice. I've actually yelled ouch because hes kicked me so hard in my ribs.
