i use butt paste! i love it! it works so much better on my girls' bottoms b/c they all have sensitive skin.
Hey, durham, was it Boudreaux Butt Paste? That's at Walmart! I've never used it but it makes me laugh!!!
Thank you ladies. You are always great help.
the cream that my sis used was called "butt paste" - I dunno where she got it - but her doc reccomended it b/c her little ones were sensitive to everything.
Well you can use powder, you just have to pour it in your hand, away from baby, so they don't breath in the powder. There are other awesome alternatives to the powder though, that durhamjk mentioned.
I used Johnson and Johnson's products but I'm thinking about switching to something else. I've heard Aveeno Baby is amazing. Also, you could try Burt's Bees! Doesn't smell as good, but it is amazing on skin.
Lots of people use diaper rash cream, but I never used it. It caused blisters to form on my baby's bottom and horrible red rashes. Her pediatrician said to use vaseline. It's safer and less chemicals. Apparently there is a chemical in the diaper rash creams (and some sunblocks) that can cause allergic reactions. Plus, vaseline is cheaper.
I can tell you what my sis uses.
baby shampoo
lotion (they have lotion that turns to powder, I think huggies makes this)
some type of wash (sis uses aveeno, b/c her kids are sensitive)
wash rags
diaper rash cream
Make sure you get unscented wipes, incase little one is sensitive.
