I left my belly button ring in pretty much the whole time I was pregnant, I think I actually didn't take it out until about a month before I gave birth and my belly button looks exactly the SAME as before I gave birth. And after I gave birth a few days later I popped my ring back in my belly button, didn't have any problems and I plan on doing the same with this baby. Just take it out or switch to a maternity one whenever it starts to feel uncomfortable to you.

If you leave it in while pregnant or even a maternity bar, sadly it will never be the same.

I took out my belly button piercing since I'm pregnant.
Although I was kind of sad when I found a pregnancy friendly
belly piercing at Spencer's.
Oh well, it's probably better to not have it in anyway :)

Also if you keep it pierced then after pregnancy it will be loose & wiggly.

All my friends who kept theirs in or switched to the maternity bars got stretch marks around the opening of top & bottom holes. I sadly took mine out but thankfully have no stretch marks at 36 weeks + 5 days. My advice is take it out now & let it heal before your belly grows.

Just keep an eye on it, if it starts to feel irritated or tight then change it.  My doctor even told me earlier in pregnancy that I probably wouldn't have a problem with it until in 30+ weeks.

I just changed mine at 30 weeks.  I recommend doing it around 25 weeks.
