I'm not sure if I will get on birth control after my son or not as I plan on staying single for awhile. But if I do, I am thinking about the arm implant. I had the marina for about 6 weeks after my 6 week check with my daughter before it fell out. My doctor said with my age and level of activity it's probably not a good idea to get that again until I'm a little older so I'm not gunna try that again, I was on depo for awhile, but it caused me a bunch of problems, and I am currently pregnant from the Nuvaring. Has anybody used the implant? Is it a good birth control? I need to lose a lot of weight to get back down to a healthy weight, so I don't want something that causes weight gain, I am going to try and breastfeed my son, so it has to be safe during breastfeeding.

I had the implanon it did not work for me kept it on for about three months periods were nornal weight was normal but real bad side effect was my hair falling out did not like that one bit lol so i got it removed i loved the patch, but insurance wont cover it, so im sticking to pills,

I had the IUD it was great! I had it for years! It was supposed to come out in 10 years but I kept it in 15 years. I started having mild pain before we went to Hawaii to get married my ob wanted me to take it out but I wanted to wait til after we got married well that wasn't too good cause my pain got a little stronger during my honeymoon when we got back I had her remove it. I got a scan and found I had a syst and thats why the pain.  The doctor wasn't worried bout the syst it went away on its own.  I didn't get any other birth control cause my insurance ran out and since I had the IUD so long I thought I couldn't have any more babies well I was wrong 10 months later I got pregnant.  I plan on getting my tubes tied. But I will say I did love the IUD it wasn't the one in the arm by the way. Just if u get it dont leave it in as long as I did.

When I was on birth control in high school and some of my college career I used the patches. I liked them and never got pregnant but i was also extremely careful. Just stick on a patch for the week and that's it. :)

Before getting prrgnant I had implanon for 3 years and loved it. Obviously u have to replace aftrr 3 year, I then got the nexplanon, had it for a year then removed it to hve a baby. I am totally pro implant. They are amazing! I never had a period for four year or any side effect!

I did the shot and I kid you not I bled for an entire year. I only had the shot once. It was awful. I plan on the implanon. Everyone I know said it was great.

My sister in law had that one for nearly a year and she she bled constantly, her doctor tried everything, even have her take the pill also to try to control her bleeding but it didn't work, but the moment she got it out her periods went back to normal

I had implanon for 2 years and absolutely loved it. No problems with weight gain, hubby and I never used a condom and never got pregnant and I actually stopped bleeding at all. Got it out and got pregnant 3 months later. It's the only BC that has worked for me and can't wait to get it again.

I dont recomend the arm implant my neighbor told me he knows 2 women who got that and went sterile i was gunna get that until he told me bout that i went with the IUD

Do you know which one it was? Like what brand.

i had the implant in my arm and did nothing but bleed ended up on two tablets a day to stop the bleeding. They dont work for everyone.

I had the i.u.d in my arm called nexoplon idk if i spelt it correctly but it worked wonders for me i got it in @3 months after having my first i lost a ton of weight cus i diet n exercised . I had no issue with it till i took it off in august of last year cus my weight loss made the iud move around in my arm n i got pregnant again super fast .. cudnt get it back in cus i found out i got prego in that week i had it off .. but i love that b.c ima get it again if i dont tie my tubes  after this baby...
