Bleeding and Cramping at 11 weeks

Hello,  I am 11weeks/5days and today I started to bleed bright red and moderate cramping like I was on my period.  I'm also having lower back pains that come and go but are starting to worry me,  I pray that I am not having a miscarriage. I've talked to my doctor and he put me on bed rest until Monday when imbable to see him again.  This is my second pregnancy and never experienced this before.  If you have any advice or have gone through this please reply.

I am 16 weeks pregnant and I have had bleeding on and off. Like the other person said sometimes sex will trigger it. My OB doc told me some people just have bleeding during pregnancy. I was put on bedrest for a bit but I still have the bleeding and the babies are fine still (twins).

I had bleeding when I was pregnant with my son too .. and he was born just fine .. he is 8 now  =)

Good luck!

I did have intercourse about 3 days ago more than once.  Maybe that could be the issue.  During your pregnancy with your daughter was there cramping throughout the bleeding or none at all?

Did you recently have intercourse? This can trigger bleeding. Not typically a dangerous type of a bleed in that situation. I did a lot of off and on bleeding with our eldest daughter. Every pregnancy is different as the next 3 I did not bleed at all. My OBGYN said some times he just looks at a cervix and it bleeds. There is definitely an increased blood supply in this area and it happens sometimes. I am sure there are several other reasons for bleeding this is the only I personally have experienced. Hope for the best plan for the worst! Best wishes!
