I have an OB. And I have looked up things to do to help get the baby out of this postition. Like put your hands on the floor and you feet on the bed or couch. Or rub your belly on one side.
My son was breech my, not only was his head up in my ribs, he was facing the wrong way. They didn't find this out til my 38w appt when I explain the movement to my OB so she sent me for a scan. I ended up having a c section the next day. However, my OB did say that if I was 34W or sooner then we would have waited it out. So you still have lots of time.
My daughter was breech up untill about 36wk maybe more but I was told 2 drink plenty ice cold water and as much as possible crawl about on all 4's lol but it worked I felt her try 2 turn 1 time didn't manage so I think that works but also there is plenty time for baby 2 turn on her own x
I had a scan at 26w 6d and my son is breech to. They not sure if he will turn cause of the shape of my uterus. But my baby is huge compared to yours they said he was around 2 lb 7 oz.
I agree with the others...at 26 weeks it's entirely possible for her to turn. Many babies don't turn until the early 30ish weeks. Both of mine flipped head-down at about 20 weeks and never turned back again so I can't share from personal experience but I know several women whose babies flipped at the last minute.
I also know several women who had to have the manual version where they flip the baby for you and while some said it was painful others said it was easy and painless...so I wouldn't worry too much if you have to have them attempt that :-).
Also - do you have a midwife or an OB? I know that SOME midwives will deliver breech babies vaginally (and almost all breech vaginal deliveries are fine, but it DOES carry risks as you know), but most OBs won't.
My baby was transverse at 30 weeks but she turned by 31 weeks. There is still time and room for her tl move
Thanks. I just would like to know what others went through.
you have listed the plausible outcomes already, and every pregnancy is different, some babies turn on their own, some are assisted and hand turned, and some are delivered by c section... theres no way of knowing what your baby has planned for you.. hopefully she turns on her own and saves you from having to decide which way to go, good luck and congrats!!
