I like the second one, with how the longer ends are, those are the head and foot boards for when it's full size, and I think it looks better. If you don't plan on using the conversions to make it full size then I say the first.
I like the first one for the style. It is slick with the curves.
I would go to a baby store and get a feel for the cribs. I really loved my convertible crib but have found that as I am so small I had problems getting a baby in and out. Also ,if you intend on having another child close in age you dont get a chance to use the toddler bed unless you buy another crib. Just make sure you dont get a drop side crib as alot of them are being recalled due to safety issues.
I like the first one as well, the second one did not show that it could change into a toddler bed and have a rail to prevent falling out of the crib. I have one similar to the first one but it has straight edges instead of curved, and I really like mine. It's a 3 in 1, switches to a toddler bed with a rail, and without. Good luck with your choice, maybe get one and take it home set it up and see if it grows on you...if you don't like it or it doesn't seem to fit right you can always return it and get another.
Hey I like the first crib. I really like the not so straight lines and I like my rooms to have a little flair also. Maybe you can order the crib or find it in another color that you like. Both of the cribs are cute though! They are very reasonable priced too!
