Hello ladies, sorry haven't been here in a while. How you all doing? Well I am now at 36 wks, got my checkup yesterday and I am 2 cm and 50%. I am really hoping the baby comes sooner than 39 wks since I want to have a VBAC and not a c-section. Any advice on how to naturally induce labor ;)

Thanks guys, I know that the baby will come when he is ready, but I don't mind giving him a little help. I think I am just gonna stick with the simple stuff like intercourse and walking. I don't think I can handle drinking castor oil or intersting oils and stuff! I really hope for a VBAC but I know it will be whatever it will be as long as baby is good :)

I tried EVERYTHING!  The baby will come when the baby comes.  I delivered my baby exactly two weeks late.  The thing that put me in labor was having my dr strip my membranes.  

My father in law (a pharmacist) told me NOT to use castor oil as that can cause many other issues.

From what I read and heard from dr's etc. nipple stimulation and sex *COULD* cause labor, however you need a LOT of stimulation to even start anything, and when it works is usually when the mother is close to going into labor anyway.

Red raspberry leaf tea and evening primrose oil are supposed to help, though I have not tried either so I am not sure how well they work. Most things don't work until baby is ready, they just kind of help things along if all system are go :). There is also nipple stimulation, and of course the sex and walking. :)

well im not sure about castor oil and all those things, but i had a friend that was the same exact as you, 2 cm and 50% and she went power walking, 5 minutes later her water broke. so i would walk walk walk. and sex that'll jumpstart it too sometimes. :)
