Dilemma about baptism

Okay so here it goes, my mother is coming from Spain in October before the baby is due & she's staying for a month. The baby is obviously gunna live here, my bf & I are going to Spain next May with the baby so everyone on my moms side of the family can meet the baby. I was baptized & raised in Spain. Anyway I really wanted to baptize my daughter in Spain when I go, but my mother in law really wants me to do it here at the Haitian church she goes too. I guess she feels like I'm being selfish because I want to baptize my daughter in a spanish church infront of my spanish family since she's gunna get to do just about everything else here. I feel really strongly about my choice. What are your opinions & am I being selfish?

Frankly, it sounds awfully fun.  Your baby can have godparents in Spain and here.

Is there a rule that the baby can only be baptized once, in one church?  There is no law that a person cannot be married twice in two ceremonies in two churches, I don't think.  It seems to me that the more heavenly protection a baby has, the better.

That's your choice and your bf choice huny I think if you want Spain then fo it in Spain mot your mil decision. Then my family baptizes and my husband's does not so that was interesting.
