Thank you everybody. Doctors say they couldn't ask for a more beautiful baby at 33 weeks, so that reassures me that she is healthy!! We go back for an appointment with my normal OB/GYN Thursday and if they don't decide by then what to do we are going to a different hospital. I don't want anything to happen to Ava or I. Or somehing that will make my family decide who to save. Nothing needs to go that far especially if it can be helped.
Baby should be ok at this point. While she may be a bit small since she is a premie she should be fine at this point in your pregnancy she is really only in there to gain weight and mature the lungs which the steroids will help with. Do what's best and safest for baby and you. I hope you are feeling well.
I'm not sure what to say, but I hope everything goes ok. If they take the baby early or induce you, I hope all goes well. You're far enough along now that baby should be fine if she was born early, especially with the steroid shots. Good luck to you!
We are back from the doctor's and my normal OB/GYN is not happy with the answers the doctor in Springfield gave us. She says the Cholestasis of Pregnancy could cause me to have liver failure and she doesn't think it is safe to keep the baby in there until 37 weeks.
I am not sure what the chances of her lungs being developed but since you are 32 weeks your baby definitely has a very high chance of being completely okay after a stint in the NICU just to be safe. The steroids will definitely help her lungs develop more quickly and hopefully it will help her have less breathing problems. Hope everything turns out well!
