Early pregancy contractions

My wife is 7 weeks this would be our 5th pregnancy, out of that one was ectopic and rest were mc's. We are worried as she experienced contraction pains last night. Hcg levels at 6 weeks were 13000 doubling nicely, she is on hormone support. Anyone have any positive answers failing that anyone know if contractions means mc? Thanks

Contractions can begin as early as 6 weeks. Cramping is a normal symptom of pregnancy!

She may not be having contractions, her uterus may be feeling as if she is cramping and contracting due to a growing uterus. Stretching of the uterus can cause period like cramps. If truly concerned she could go to the Dr to make sure that there is a viable pregnancy and make sure that baby is doing good and there is a good heartbeat. If she is bleeding heavily she should go to the Dr immediately.
