First U/S appt. today! I'm nervous!

I am so nervous. I have my first U/S today! I am just hoping everything is okay and that I get to see that beating heart. I should be somewhere around 8 weeks now.
The hardest part for me is going to be drinking enough to fill up my bladder. Drinking anything right now doesn't sound good to me. Who ever coined the phrase "morning sickness"?? lol  This all-day sickness is horrible!

How much is enough to drink without feeling like I'm going to explode when they are doing the U/S??

Thanks!!! I'm just glad it all turned out well. I posted the pic!! :) I suppose I will just stick with my original due date and if they do another scan and it changes, oh well! 4 days off isn't a big deal to me.

Yay! What a beautiful sight/sound!  My u/s was about a week off on my dates, too, so they sent me for a second one.  It was also about 1 week off (even though I was sure of my dates), so they changed my due date based on the u/s.  June 27!  Congrats again on this milestone!

YAY!!! I know that heartbeats don't mean much, but my little girl's was in the 160's-170's around 7 or 8 weeks and stayed up there until the second trimester. It's still in the 150's when she's not so active. Congrats, Mama!

Thanks everyone!! WE HAVE A HEARTBEAT! :)   And she didn't have to do a vaginal scan so I was happy! I thought that with being 20 pounds over weight and it's still kinda early, they would have to. YAY for seeing my baby! I am pretty sure I know when I ovulated, right around day 14 or 15, so I would be 8 weeks tomorrow, but when she took the measurements it said 7w2d...and she told me not to worry, that it's right in the range it should be according to my LMP. I forgot to ask what my due date was!!! AHHH scatter brain! So I am just going to stick with my original which I think is  July 7, 2011. A few days off isn't bad! And if this pregnancy is anything like my others, I will probably give birth in June. I grow babies fast for some reason.
With my boys, the heart rate in the beginning was always below 150, never saw anything above that. It would hang around 135-145 at any given time. BUT this time the heart rate was 162!!! Maybe a girl? lol I am definitely going to find out the gender as soon as I can! :) I keep thinking boy, but this heart rate thing has me confused this time around. (I know it doesn't mean much, but we shall see!!)

Thanks so much ladies! I am on my second glass of water...I have no clue how it's making it down. lol I already vomitted twice this morning so I am just hoping this stays down!! I will drink no more after this, don't think I could handle it.

I will be sure to post a pic as soon as I get back! Gotta go get ready! Oh boy!!

yeah, they always asked me to come with a full bladder, but I just dont think they realize how hard it is not to wet yourself being pregnant lol  just drink a glass or two of water and you should be just fine..

also, dont be nervous mama, you are going to see that precious heartbeat, and everything is going to be okay...

i have always had to have a full blatter they actually sent me away one time cause it wasnt full the 1st u/s is the worse cause you just hope everything is ok and it will be remember to post pics of that lil bean

I had several ultrasounds during my first trimester for bleeding and I never had a full bladder. They also saw everything very clearly using the transvaginal ultrasound wand. I think it also may depend on the sensitivity of the machine that they use as to how clear it is. I know they tell you to have a full bladder so that they can see everything better, so it's worth a shot. I too have had terrible all day sickness and I'm 36 weeks! I'd probably drink one large glass of water or juice or something since they told you to have a full bladder, but don't overdo it because of your m/s.
