Going through labor alone?

My boyfriend is in the isolation unit in the hospital for pneumonia and they dont know when he will be released. And im getting induced wednesday... How difficult will labor by myself be? :(

You can ask your doc about using skype as well. If he can't be there in person, they should allow him to coach you and meet baby via video

My baby's dad was supposed to be going Afghan beginning of October when our little boy is due but THANKFULLY he's been rescheduled to go in April. Good luck :) I'm sure you'll be fine :D x

If your induction is not medically necessary you may be able to talk with your doctor about putting it off a few days. Otherwise maybe this might be a good opportunity for you and your stepmother to bond. Children change relationships and if you both want it maybe she can be the support you need right now

What about other family members? And that's not true, he will love his daughter just the same!! He would be there if he could. :) sorry you're having to stress about this!

I got rid of all my friends when I got pregnant because they are bad influences... And my mom is a low life druggie. Me n my stepmom dont really get along but shes all I have I guess... Im so depressed right now. I feel like since he wont be there he wont be as close to our son as he is with his daughter sinve he saw her being born...

have a close friend or hire a doula to be there with you... You are a strong woman and this is what our bodies are made to do you will get though it one contraction at a time...hopefully your boyfriend will be better soon so he can help after the baby is born

Like the poster said above me... Invite a close friend, your mom, or family mom. It's do able, but the support will make your labor much better! With my second, my fiance missed the birth of our son. I had a c section and did it by myself. I was lonely, but I managed.

Military wives do it all the time. With my first her father was barely there. Best thing to do is invite a close friend or your mom. Its always nice to have someone lean on.
