HCG down and then up again? What is happening to me?

Okay here is my situation:
Tuesday 1/12 - Positive HPT
Wed 1/13 - Light pink spotting
Thur 1/14 - Red spotting then stopped - HCG checked - 140
Sat 1/15 - Bleeding pretty much gone - Everything felt "normal" during my exam - HCG checked - down to 109. They told me I was M/C based on the numbers dropping. I grieved but then began looking forward to trying again. (BTW I HAVE A 20 MONTH OLD - THIS IS OUR 2nd PREGNANCY).
No more bleeding ever came and no pain at all. They wanted to keep checking my hcg until it hits zero again so I went yesterday - Thurs 1/21 - HCG went up to 441!!!
Now I have to get an U/S in 2 hours and I am very nervous.
What does this sound like? Ectopic without pain or bleeding? Possible viable pregnancy?
I am so confused!

Okay I had the U/S done Friday and they said there is NOTHING in my tubes so they ruled out ectopic. She said it looks like there is a small sack in my uterus but WAY too early to tell. They also found a LARGE cyst on my left ovary. Could this be where the bleeding is coming from? It is still just very light spotting once in awhile. I'm hoping since my levels went from 109 to 441 in just a few days and it isnt ectopic that everything is ok. Any advice anyone? I had more bloodwork drawn today and will get those results in the AM. If my levels went up that much and ectopic has been ruled out, isnt that a good sign?

I am sorry to say It sounds ectopic. I just went through the same situation my hcgs were fluctuating as well they did ultra sound after ultra sound couldnt see anything. I suggest you get checked regularly and if you are having any pain at all go see a doctor. If it hurts to do bowel movements that a sign too. Please get checked as often as possible untill they know whats going on for sure ectopic pregnancies are dangerous.

I have no idea...hopefully you'll find out in a few hours, although this early you wouldn't see much on u/s...good luck, let me know what you find out. I hope for the best for you!!! I wish I could help :(
