Had Mirena IUD Removed, what is going on with my body? TTC!!

Hi to all i got pregnant on the Mirena iud my doc thinks i miscarried on christmas day because that is when i started to bleed i then went to her office exactly a week later and she tested my hcg and it was 0 =[ after 3 positive pregnancy urine tests. She went ahead and took that THING out of me but sadly the baby came out with it =[ it was about 6 weeks gestation. My husband and I are now trying to concieve! I had it removed 12/29/2010 my husband and i had sex 12/30, 12/31 and the 1rst! All unprotected. I had actually thought was the start of my AF on the 31rst but when my husband and i had sex it stopped completely i had spotting on the 2nd and some on the 3rd and now nothing! I never had period on Mirena so i do not know when to expect AF. Could I be pregnant? That would be so awesome! =] It is too early to test but i seem to be fertile mertile as that is what my ob calls me =] Anyone else go through this and what was the end result? Thanks!!

Mirena *****!!! I've been on it since May and have had nothing but problems with it. I keep having recurring yeast and BV infections. It stinks. It itches. I have been bleeding literally not-stop since I got the IUD put in. In fact, I have seen my doctor on two separate occasions for these issues and he keeps telling me its "normal" and prescribing me antibiotics and giving me OTC yeast infection topical cream. Its flat out an inconvenience and a burden on every other aspect of my life. I'm a clean person and shower daily so I know its definitely not me. None of these problems started occurring until I got on Mirena.  I have an appointment Friday to get it removed.

Me too. My doctor mentioned something about the nuva ring to me and I was just so tired of mirena i honestly do not want anything that has to be put inside of me. I felt total relief right after it was taken out i also had pain during sex because it felt like it was stabbing me and i do not have that problem anymore =] i am so happy it is out.
I also always felt pregnant but my doc said it is because mirena tricks your body into thinking it is pregnant. But the last time i was having more pain than usual and went the ER and my preg test was positive but they could not remove the iud and that i had to make an appt with my obgyn and thats what i did but 3 days after the er i started bleeding and found out it was a miscarriage. i just think that if i can get pregnant on mirena then i should have no problem with fertility now. i guess i will just be playing the waiting game =[ i hate it i am so impatient and so anxious to see a BFP!

I think some women are more sensitive to the hormones in the IUD. I know I was. When it was removed, I felt pregnant for months but I wasn't. I took me 10 months to get pregnant after removal. It is possible you are pregnant but like Majikat said, you need to go get a blood test or wait it out a few weeks and see if your period starts up. And like Majikat, I won't be getting another one after this pregnancy. I liked that I didn't have my period but the idea of the extra hormones kind of freaks me out now.

I'm so sorry for your loss and I hope you have a healthy pregnancy soon (if you aren't already pregnant!).

well I constantly felt pregnant while I had the mirena in place... I think it really messed with my hormones.... The crash I was moody and just couldn't feel settled at all it was really weird some people dont get it....you could ver well be preg you could go to your dr to get a blood test cause they can tell you sooner than urine tests... That was the best thing about the Mirena no periods... i will miss that but i will not be getting it again cause now that its out I can see all the problems it was causing me

well i never had a period on  mirena i had already had the bleeding of the miscarriage before the baby was removed the mirena was just blocking the baby from coming out but all of the blood had already expelled.
What did you experience during the crash? I feel so pregnant for some reason my stomach is bloated and it is kind of hard at the very bottom like by my pelvic area. i tend to show extremely early in my pregnancy i have a very small frame and my cervix is tilted really bad. i also have been having somewhat of diarrhea sry tmi but it is really bothering my i just feel like i could go to the bathroom all day! i am extremely tired as well last night i went to sleep at 7 without even dinner (while my husband was cooking dinner) =[ the night before i didnt even fix dinner and i went to sleep early i just feel so worn out.
Did you have a period after mirena removal. i am very fertile according to my obgyn and i have had unprotected sex with my husband since removal. i am just really TTC!!! =]

when was your last period?
also it is normal to bleed after the removal of the IUD and if you had a misscarriage then you would bleed after that....
I had my Mirena removed after 4 years and I got preg on my first try... you could be but you would have to test 14 days after the unprotected sex

Also to add i just started having very soft stools not diarhea but having to go a lot more than usual also urinating mroe too is this because of the hormones being removed after i had the iud taken out or is that a sign of pregnancy? I have 2 kids and I never had this symptom before =[ blah makes me feel yucky lol sry TMI
