Yeah. The longer the better. Although lots of women are having their babies earlier. 35-36 weeks is okay.. baby might still have to spend time in the nicu, but will most likely survive.
I went into labor with my twins at 36 weeks. They spent one night in NICU and only 2 extra days in the hospital.
I agree that you should NOT actively try to go into labor early. I was on bedrest with my feet up, but since I had twins 36-38 weeks is considered full term for twins. They ran out of room and decided to show up.
If it happens baby should be fine but you should NOT actively try to being on labour otherwise. The longer baby stays in there the better.
I am 22 weeks and scared praying to make it to term. But everyweek is important to make it to term, but to look on youtube babies are being born at 22 weeks and surviving most don't but they can. Your baby being born at 35-36 week should be fine, no the baby will not have EVERYTHING 100% but 35-36 weeks happen almost every day and kids come out fine.
My friend had her son at 35 weeks but she had been having preterm labor issues for a while. The gave the steroid shots for lungs and did the test for lung maturity and all was ok. He stayed in the hospital for 5 days. U should not do things to try to start labor at 35 weeks because the longer they are in there the better. Good luck
The lungs are able to expand on their own around 34 weeks... the lungs are not fully developed at this stage still though, 37 weeks is considered term....
If a baby is born around 35-36 weeks, it tends to be fine but may require a short NICU stay.. all depends on the baby...
