Hcg Levels were high

My doctor called and said that hcg levels were high.  He said that my the date of my last period did not match the levels, and he also stated that was a possiblity that I was further along or their were twins.  Twins run in my side of the family.  My grandfatthers cousin had twins I think.  On my husband side his first cousin had twins and his niece had twins as well.  This is my 4 th pregnancy. My other three pregnancy were normal but this one does feel a little different. I took a pregnancy test 2 weeks before the positive one, and it came out negative.  I dont think that I am but everyone in my family keeps thinking it might be.  I go to the doctor in the morning to the ob not the regular doctor but now I am worried that I might be having twins.  What are my chances?

This pregnancy feels kind of weird.  I feel like I am always thristy.  Like I am dehidrating.  Then I drink so I even get up in the middle of the night to pee.  I have never felt like this.  No morning sick, just nausea.  That is the time I wake up to 2:00 and then starts at 8:00 again.  That is like everyday.  I am already showing but I thimk that is because it is my fourth child.  I hope that is why.  MY husdand even noticed.  i started showing three weeks ago.  Who knows. Every preganacy different.

The doctor did some labs today.  He said that he did not think I was having twins but there is still a chance.  Now I have to wait for another 5 weeks before I have an ultrasound. He wants to see how far along I am with the ultrasound.  So I guess in 5 weeks I should know but that seems far away to me.

Your chances are higher than the normal just because they run in both sides of your family. Good luck and let us know if you find out that you are in fact having twins.
