It is possible to be wrong all ultrasounds after 18 weeks have a 10-15% chance of being wrong on gender. But just because you want a boy doesn't mean you should be upset or depressed. Just be happy you are having a healthy baby gender should not matter.
thanks for all the good advice but i have another ultrasound coming up in the next coming weeks and i will be about 8months so i hope we can see the body parts then....
It's very rare to get it wrong but sometimes they do.
To firstuterally - aparantly it does matter what the dad has. But only the boys in the family... The father, and the fathers father or brothers etc not the girls. Because men determine the sex. For.instance with my fiance, aparantly according to my future mother in law, there has been hardly any girls the family. I had a boy first. And even tho I think this ones a girl she says it will be a boy like the rest.guess will see.
They are pretty accurate now days but's it's possible. In most area's you can pay to have a 3d ultra sound it could ease your mind and let you know for sure.
The same gender as her first baby? Awesome! Her first was a girl. I'm excited for either but for different reasons.
LOL I don't know! There is the supposed mother-in-law rule for first babies though -- supposedly, your first baby will be the same gender as your mother-in-law's/partner's mom's. So far it's pretty true in my family.
Does anyone know if it matters what the dad to be has had in the past? For instance, because his mom had 3 boys and he has 2 boys from a previous marriage, he swears ours will be the third boy that runs in his familys ''3 boy curse''. Does it really matter or is it 50/50? Ive always wanted a boy growing up but would also like to give him his 1st girl.
Unless you had invasive testing done, it totally depends on how good a look you get on the ultrasound. With one sibling, my dad swore he saw something. Mom and the tech weren't sure. Turned out a couple months later he was right -- boy. You have a roughly 50-50 chance.
But ultimately, be happy you're having a baby at all. So many people can't, and you are blessed enough to be able to have babies, so be thrilled and love your child, no matter the gender :]
Its easier for them to mistake a girl for a boy than a boy for a girl. I don't know the percentage but it isn't very high, but still a chance. :-)
It's definitely possible. But it's more likely to be told girl and end up having a boy. If they don't see boy parts, it could be either-girl because there are no boy parts or boy and his parts are hiding. If they DO see boy parts, its a boy.
I was supposed to be a boy all the way up until I popped out.. It is most definitely possible.
It happened to my BFF she was told girl had her baby shower got the nursery ready went to her last dr s appt and they were like oh its a boy!!
It's definitely possible. My mom had a friend who bought all this pink stuff and went totally into having a little girl... When she gave birth the baby had a penis. Who knows.
I literally just had 4 friends have babies. Aug, sept, and 2 in Oct. They were ALL told girls and ALL of them had boys!
yes because i had a friend told she was having a girl she had her baby shower and everything...went back at like 30 weeks or so and it turns out she was having a boy
I hope so! Im having a 4th boy but im desprate for a girl! I was told 99°/° though so im doubtful they got it wrong. Xx
