At this point, it's just par for the course. Mine didn't start going away this time until around 16 weeks. If what the doc gave you didn't work, ask for something else.
Mine doesn't go away until about the 16th week mark either. I have a blog where I talk about this. I will PM you the information.
I know it is awful! I actually went into the hospital with my last one when I was almost 8 weeks. I was hooked up to an IV for 3 days. It was awful!
I really hope you feel better soon.
Not to let ya down, but I've still got it, and I'm 21 weeks. But my situation may be slightly different. I have hyperemesis and I doubt it's fully going to disappear till I give birth. What are the tablets that your doctor gave you?
Hi . . I cannot remember the name of the tablets the doctor gave me as i threw them away. I feel a little better today though.
Thankyou Michele, i did get you'r PM. I will look at you'r blog, and will try the tea you suggested. Thanks again! :-)
congrats on the 12 week mark...i had pretty bad morning sickness this time around and right around 13 weeks it just stopped...kinda scared me but im now 19 weeks and all is well...hang in there
if it doesnt get better my doc gave me a rx for zofran and that helped take the edge off the morning sickenss
I would have tried zofran, but they were so costly and at the time I didn't have insurance. So it was all outta pocket. I use phenergan and have mostly lived on that, and aside from knocking me out it helped with the nausea.
Thankyou everyone, sickness is kinda getting better. I am now 13wks 3days so it should be wearing off, i hope!. Had scan and all is well.
My sickness was pretty bad until around 16 weeks, so hopefully the end IS in sight for you. If the pills haven't worked you can also ask your doctor about phenergan cream. I've had to use it and for me it works better than the pills. Glad to hear all is well, hopefully your tummy will settle down soon and allow you to enjoy the milestone of making it into the 2nd trimester!
Not to disappoint you, but I was very sick until delivery. In fact I lost 30lbs during my pregnancy and was put on a long-term IV because of excessive vomiting. If you can afford it try the zofran, it's the best anti-emetic out there.
